  1. So tell me this: why do so many people prefer the comfort of their ‘comfort zones’ … to the discomfort of venturing outside it.

    Put the other way around: why do so few people want a life?


    1. I’d have to ask them to know 😉 But perhaps it would be connected to why people sit in front of their TVs and in their offices year round instead of taking a road trip somewhere they’d always wanted to go.


      1. On an individual basis, asking is the only way. But why then do so many individuals prefer their TVs to reality? I met it myself with my then partner, Brian in Lüneburg – who when we first met was willing to travel… within a few years, he had ‘enclosed’ himself and become a TV watching living-room dweller.

        For myself, it’s second=hand books and my saved money is usually spent on travelling.

        I guess I’m a rare – dying? – breed,
